When I first met Zappa (in 1969) he was sporting a pair of green velour pants (loose like sweat pants) which he said he had bought at a "fairy shop" in L.A.
The Allman Bros. were some hot stuff when I hit college in the previous century/millenium. Whatever happened to them?
The usual dying and/or becoming an actor thing, if I recall correctly, although I'm not sure in what order.

When he sings about "groups that look real queer" in "Tinseltown Rebellion" I think "Dude, take a look at yourself and your short-short sporting bandmates now and then."
