Warm up, then shut up

Yes, we get it. It's snowing on the east coast. I made you a fire so you could warm up.

Now, could we please put something else on the news? I'm sure there are other things going on in the country, and there's also this whole other place called "the rest of the fucking world" that really doesn't give a shit.

Thanks.

    2. Hey now. Every year some hypertensive old guys in Wisconsin pop off while shoveling that white shit, so let's not minimize it, 'K?

Thx. Going to get a drink now, because we will eventually have to shovel as well...

  2. OT, and why not? What better place to go off topic?- there is a new bar that seems pretty good open TWENTY FEET BELOW where I am sitting.

Initial reviews are encouraging, but food and many drinks are not on line yet:

This could make work days go quite a bit better...

    1. Nice! It's both a blessing and a curse to work across the street from multiple drinking establishments. Hmm, where do I get a pint today...? Enjoy.

    2. Also, too: beer's in the name, how could a bar be off topic?

  3. It must not snow. Snow is the mind-killer. Snow is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face the snow. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. K, not so much through me. Shut up. On me. And it shall wreck the ice such that the wife shall get cranky if I want to drive on it. The snow. Fuck this. I need spice. Or beer. Spice and/or beer. Doesn't matter.

    1. Sounds like you need a nice spiced winter ale to cover both bases.

  4. Yeah, that sucks. I loved the Dragonstooth Stout.

You Seattleites (Seattlicians? Seattlers? ) need to boycott. After 10 Barrel in Bend sold out, all the locals bailed and their tap house was deserted. Even over on this side of the Cascades, the good spots haven't had them on tap since. Solidarity!

  5. Great tips! If you need to use handwarmers, you can re-use them if you stash them in a sealed ziploc baggie after you're done running. Squeeze out the air from the bag, and they'll stop heating until you open the bag next time. I can get up to 4 1-hour runs in on one pair of handwarmers this way. Saves a lot! training shirts
